Body Whispers: Listen to Your Body to Prevent Disease

Sometimes the body doesn’t scream, it whispers. On a daily basis, my patients ask me what early symptoms they can detect to prevent serious diseases such as cancer. My answer is always the same: we should not wait for the symptom. We must start listening to our body.

Hence the terminology we call “Body Whispers”. It’s those subtle, often ignored signals that our body sends us to tell us that something isn’t right. Are you aware of them?

Here are seven key tips to recognize your body’s whispers and act in time:

  1. Body Disconnection:
    • Do you feel like you’re living with your head, without any real awareness of your body?
    • Are you not aware of your posture or your physical tension?
    • Do you have a hard time identifying if you are really hungry, thirsty or cold?
    • If so, you may be disconnected from your basic needs.
  2. Subtle Changes in Energy:
    • Do you wake up, and despite having slept through the night, you feel that something is missing in your energy?
    • Or during the day, for no apparent reason, do you lose energy?
    • These are indications that your life energy is not at its optimal point.
  3. Intense or Very Flat Emotions:
    • Are you more irritable than usual?
    • Do you feel intolerant or apathetic?
    • Do little things that didn’t bother you before now overwhelm you, or on the contrary, do you get too excited?
    • These changes in your emotional state are clear whispers of imbalance.
  4. Natural Rhythm Disruption:
    • Do you eat on impulse, even without being hungry?
    • Do you ignore tiredness until you feel completely collapsed and fall asleep?
    • Do you go to the bathroom less often or more than usual at night?
    • Are there changes in your diet style without a clear reason?
    • These are signs that your biological rhythms are out of balance.
  5. Persistent Feeling of Not Being Well:
    • Simply, “you feel something”. Something is not in place.
    • You feel “weird”, “I’m not like me”, “I don’t have like what normally moved me”.
    • This undefined feeling is an important whisper that you shouldn’t ignore.
  6. Agitated or Interrupted Dreams:
    • Do you wake up many times in the night?
    • Don’t remember dreams?
    • Do you feel like you don’t rest despite sleeping?
    • Poor quality sleep is a direct indicator that something is affecting your well-being.
  7. Lack of Desire or Connection:
    • Do you no longer have an interest in socializing, walking, creating, enjoying?
    • This loss of motivation and connection to life is a red flag.

Being very aware of these seven signs or “body whispers” is essential. By learning to listen to them, we can prevent many diseases, adjust our lifestyles and not become an advanced disease.
