The month of October, with its vibrant pink color, may be over on the calendar, but our commitment to preventing and fighting cancer is a mission that extends 365 days a year.
In the last month, Dr. Roberto García, Surgical Oncologist and Advanced Matologist, together with our multidisciplinary team at Panama Cancer Clinic, embarked on the 2024 Anticancer Tour, bringing education, hope and support throughout Panama. It was a month of immense gratitude, where we confirmed that the real battle is won with information and faith.

The backbone of our work is the certainty that “For a More Human Service” and faith can transform the patient experience.
In every conversation, from Chorrera to Chiriqui and Santiago (in collaboration with ANCEC and other organizations), we reiterate the truth of Isaiah 41:10: “Do not be afraid, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God who makes you strong; I will always help you, I will always uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.”
This promise reminds us that, despite uncertainty, spiritual and human support is as vital as medical treatment.

The Anticancer Tour focused on the critical importance of early detection of breast cancer and the need for collective reflection on how we face the disease.
Early detection isn’t just a medical strategy, it’s a life plan!

- Tamizaje es la Clave: Promover el acceso a tamizajes como la mamografía y el ultrasonido permite encontrar lesiones precancerosas o tumores en sus etapas más tempranas.
As mentioned in our “Pink October” discussion at the W Panama Hotel and at events with Fundacancer, timely diagnosis can mean a cure of 90% and beyond, avoiding more aggressive therapies and saving quality of life.
📚 El Legado de la Esperanza: Venciendo la Incertidumbre
One of the most emotional moments of the Anticancer Tour was the signing and presentation of our book “Overcoming Uncertainty”. This work is a testimony of hope and a guide for patients and families, reminding them that information and faith are fundamental tools to take control of their lives after diagnosis.
At every meeting, from the National Cancer Institute to the community, we meet patients, survivors, and colleagues who motivate us to continue with our mission: to bring cutting-edge oncology to the entire population.
